Benjamin R. Brock

Mr. Brock is proud to be a Carson City-Crystal Eagle and resides in the community with his wife, Keri, and children, Xander (8), Merrick (6), and Kellyn (4).  He is a 1996 graduate of Shepherd High School. Mr. Brock taught Physical Education and Health at Grayling High School from 2003-2009. At Grayling, he was a department head, class advisor, and head coach for football, baseball, bowling and track. His football program earned the first District Title in school history in 2005 and was also on the MHSFCA Academic All-State Team five times.  New to Mr. Brock's responsibilities is the title of Head Varsity Football Coach for the Eagles!

After earning his Masters in Educational Leadership from Central Michigan University in 2008, he became the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Port Huron Northern High School.  While at PHN from 2009-2011, he helped to implement a 9th Grade Academy and also developed a Leadership Class which he taught in the inaugural year. 

From 2012-2014 he was the Principal at Port Huron High School. He helped to raise student achievement by implementing a built in intervention program during the school day. Port Huron High School was recognized in 2014 by the National Clearinghouse for raising their percentage of students attending college from 45%-71% in a few short years.  In 2015, he became an administrator at Central Middle School where he helped to infuse social media to improve communication through setting up an athletics web site, Facebook and Twitter with his staff.

Welcome to the Upper Elementary/Middle School Office!
 
Mrs. Niemi is an administrative assistant in the UE/MS Office, and has worked for the district for seven years.  Mrs. Niemi lives in the Carson City area with her family, where they enjoy hot air ballooning, volunteering for the Lions Club, and spending time with friends and family.
 
Ms. Niemi's work in the UE/MS Office involves many things, however, the largest part of her day is spent working directly with students and staff while focusing on attendance, discipline, middle school scheduling, ordering, accounting and some state reporting.
 
In addition to her work at school, Ms. Niemi also serves as the CC-C Schools representative to the Montcalm Area Intermediate School District Parent Advisory Committee, a board of parents representing all parents of special needs children in and throughout surrounding districts.  The PAC assists in forming policy, planning activities for families, and help to guide fellow parents through the special education and IEP process.
